Accessibility of Medicines (storage)

Criteria include the following:

• Co-ordinating pharmacy supplies and deliveries.
• • Contractual agreements with medication suppliers.
  • Timely access to medication e.g. ordering process.
• Ensuring the safety and security of drug storage.
• • Quality management and CQI related to storage and accessibility of medicines.
  • Storage and access to medicines in line with the regulations.
  • Appropriate storage environment and resources e.g. refrigerator, trolley, Webster packs, bedside lockers.
  • Storage of different modes of medication.
  • Information systems (inventory and documentation etc).
